Practical Ways we may be able to support you in exchange for your financial support towards the Tau Community
As Lay Monastics we live to a simple rule of life based on the teachings of Franciscan Spirituality where we voluntarily detach our hearts from materialism and all ownership. This sacred promise frees us to embrace the spirit of God's Providence which assures us that 'all our needs both temporal and spiritual'will be met. Our Rule of Franciscan living now prohibits us from making any direct application for funding from organisations such as the National Lottery etc.
In practical terms with regard to our financial survival in a world recession, many of our monastic members contribute by putting using their God given talents to exceptional advantage by producing the following:
- Mother Olivea contributes by making the crystal Prayer Mala bracelets.
- Brother Sean is busy in the Monk's kitchen making his 33 varieties of homemade delicious chutneys. In addition, he has donated the rights of all proceeds from the sales of his CD's and E Books to support the Tau funds.
- Brother Murray continues to produce really unusual homemade jams and preserves including pesto.
- Sister Theresa assists Brother Sean and Mother Olivea with making the Tau beads when we meet up regularly.
- Remaining members donate various prizes for raffles to raise the funds.
The following products are not mass produced for a commercial market but lovingly handmade for you to enjoy and appreciate. They are made with love respecting the earth and honouring the Divine within creation.
